Blocks Changed My Life                                                  A Blog Written And Created By The One and Only 'Grump'

Hyped
I walked into class and realised there was a buzz in the air. With my class, you can always tell if we're excited about something. First it would start off with about three people that are really hyped about this cool game called 'Minecraft'. It had been around for a while now but the news had spread quickly that it was now sold in nearly every game shop in town. Of course this excited me a little. I may be a girl but you can still find female gamers ... Right? At this time I didn't have an Xbox 360 so I pleaded my Dad and Mum for one. I would often get the reply, 'Go to Taekwondo, I promise I'll buy you one'. My Dad is a Black Belt in a martial arts called Taekwondo. I would constantly get nagged about joining Taekwondo and that this is a way of earning an awesome reward. I wasn't sure about it but at one point I finally turned up. After about a month of attending it I earned myself an Xbox! Yahoo! I was super happy not only because I had an Xbox but because I got Minecraft for free with it! When I got home I began playing it with my brother younger brother, CapBlocksJr. We were super happy about this and we probably played Minecraft every second of our free time.

Obsession
I strode into class feeling incredibly happy about Minecraft. I was super happy about the cute little blocks and it made me feel so cosy sitting in my little noob hut watching flames crackle and listening to zombies grunting outside. I was doing quite well with my brother along side me. Storming the night like the king of the world. I could do whatever I wanted. There was no limits. I couldn't make a circle! I told all of my class mates about the news and the response was ... 'Meh. I got it a week ago'. This didn't put me down though. I wanted to do everything possible on Minecraft! I would return home everyday, switch my new Xbox on and play on! I would close the curtains, switch the lights off and crank up the volume. I would ram my pickaxe into iron with my brother who would be stalking zombies or searching for little villages. I was happy but I wasn't completely satisfied ... I needed minecraft on the computer ...

Tossing & Turning
I would toss and turn in my bed. Wake up with massive bags under my eyes nd fall asleep again. I wouldn't rest until I had Minecraft on my computer. I would stride into class and there would be a buzz in the air again. I decided to investigate and it turned out that a bunch of people had just bought Minecraft for their computer. I have to admit that when I got home I shed a tear or two. I rummaged through every purse in my room and found about thirty pounds. This was just enough to buy Minecraft. Booyah! At the weekend I once again asked if I could buy Minecraft for my laptop. After an hour or two of persuading I managed to buy Minecraft. Just talking about this kinda gets my hyped. I was used to Minecraft now but I didn't know how to change my skin so I just looked like Steve. I found him incredibly boring so I found myself on BugMeNot using an account that had managed to find out how to change its skin. After watching about six tutorials on how to change your skin I finally managed to do so. At first I was just SethBling's Mario but I got bored after a while. Now I'm never satisfied. I keep finding new skins that I want to use!

Another Obsession I need to find a new hobby.
My brother didn't have Minecraft at that moment which is probably one of the many reasons I enjoyed playing it. I found out about servers which interested me and also started making cool builds. My first proper build was a modern house which was a little bit cramped because it only had one floor. My brother eventually bought Minecraft and we played together on my world with the modern house. For some reason our network broke and we have never been able to play with each other again so I erased my world and creation.  Boo Hoo ... I had to learn on my own which led to a number of failures but this just gave me more and more excitement for the next day. These blocks made me happy and every night I had something to look forward to. I would sleep and wake up, grab my laptop and play Minecraft for hours on end. I wanted to share my thoughts on Minecraft so this led me to a whole new world. I discovered ...
Planet Minecraft
I found this site a year ago but I didn't make an account. I just used it to change my skin on Minecraft. I realised that having no account limited me from the amazing things you could do on Planet Minecraft (Lets just call it PMC...). I didn't have the skill to skin but maybe I could blog! So I decided to blog and found that talking about Minecraft changing my life was the perfect subject. I just hope you understand that I get addicted easily. I adore Planet Minecraft and I'm going to continue writing blogs for you and I hope you enjoy them.

Thankyou for reading! I'm Grump, the one and only and I hope you enjoyed this blog!
