Hello all Minecrafters!


This is a mod idea for Minecraft 1.3+. As we all know there are bookshelves in Minecraft, and we also know that there are books! So my idea was, to have a mod that allows you to place all books, written books, book and quill and plain books into the shelf! Of course this could raise some difficulties, such as how do you place books in a bookshelf with books already in them! Well the answer to that is to have a new block called the Empty Bookshelf. This block could be crafted by using the same crafting recipe as a normal bookshelf but without the books! I hope to see this as a mod sometime in the near future!

i had alredy thought of the bookshelves mod, but you right-click it and it acts like a chest, and furnace you can put books in a one book slot and it starts to transfer it to the chest part, but you can only take out books right from the chest part, not right in so i have a better place to put my books other then a chest,but wait it dosent end there! if you put a enchantment table near the same bookshelf with 2 books in it, it acts like three bookshelves so the enchantments are higher with less blocks!

Yeah, That's quite cool, but how large is the chest area(how many rows and how many columns)? And is there a download? Nice mod otherwise!

ok i never actully made the mod, if i did i would give you a link to the page hmmm... i never really thought of how many, just there would be some, ok, how about the size of a large chest

Hmm ok, yep. I would have thought 2 rows and 8 columns but yeah! Actually i found a plugin(for bukkit) called Shelf-it that seems cool... but it's a plugin not a mod.
