Hello im here to teach you how to build from a noob to a average/pretty good builder.
RULE 1
DONT BUILD CUBE OR RECTANGLE!
Explanation: it's fine to do sometimes but not every single time. Try to make your buildings complex. Cubes and rectangles aren't that complex
RULE 2
Dont Have a flat roof!
Explanation: They are nice on some occasions but most of the time flat is Bad
Try making Houses that have stair roofs they look nice and you can have more roof space with those kind of roofs.
Those are mostly the simple rules of building a decent/ pretty good house
