Can I print out the files for a texture pack and draw out what you want for the texture pack with, say a pencil the outline it with a felt marker and scanned it back onto you computer would it work as a texture pack? I'm asking because I'm thinking about doing this. Would I need any special programs or something to get the drawings? I'm not super good with technical stuff, I know how to get around my computer but I don't want to buy anything like photoshop to get all the pixels from the drawing. If you could please get back to me that would be awesome.

you would need to use mcpatcher so other people could see them properly. but as long as you make the images to scale, it should come out nicely.

ps...you might wanna make it 256x256

if you manage to draw the image to be to scale with the default textures, and upload them into a certain sized .png image. when you post it, save it as 256x256. then people will know to use mcpatcher. btw, if you want to use it, you need to apply the mcpatcher as a mod, then remove META-INF
