Steve continued to mine at the ore,blissfully unaware of the mobs slowly sneaking up on him from behind when he dropped his pick!

Frustrated, he slowly turned to go and retrieve it but stopped dead in his tracks when instead of hearing a thud as it hit the floor, he heard a squelch and a low grunt. Instantly he realized there was a zombie behind him, still unaware of the spider he planned on how to kill the zombie without any weapons or armor.

It was at that point Steve had a light bulb moment, he ran forwards towards the lava, he heard the footsteps race after him, he waited until they were just behind him. He jumped to the right, causing the zombie to jump to his death.

Still unaware of the spider, Steve headed towards his ladder to get another pick axe and a sword, then the spider jumped. Startled and confused Steve lost took a lot of hits as he figured out what was happening, when he came to his senses he blocked the spider's attack but it kept jumping at him, both creatures landed occasional blows until they were both almost dead. As a last resort, Steve jumped at the spider and hit it with a powerful left swing, knocking it into the lava, but Steve had too much momentum and faceplanted into the stone wall ahead of him.
