Hello.
Ever wanted to know how to use a command block? If you continue reading, you will find that out and more. This block was made for the people of minecraft, teaching them the basics and advances of the command block.
What Is A Command Block?
A command block is a block to support adventure mode and allows the person to make their maps (or anything containing the command block) through server commands. The block can be activated using a redstone current.
What can the command block do?
This great invention can make your maps a lot more advanced and better. It will execute some useful commands such as giving items or experience points. To change the command, simply right click it and the GUI will show up.
What are some basic commands?
The basic commands of a command block are very simple to use. In place of player names, it is possible to use different variables, such as:
@p - To the nearest player
@r - To a random player
@a - To all players
An extremely simple command is to just put /say in the command block, like this:
/say
Also, just like when your in cheat mode, you can type the /give cheat in the command block too! Here is what you do:
Simply type /give [ItemID] [amount]
So when the redstone current is activated by pushing a button or pulling a lever, it will give you your item you needed! Don't know the ID of the item you need? don't worry, you can find afull list right here.
Player commands:
/Me
/Help
/Tell
Operator-only commands:
/Debug
/Defaultgamemode
/Difficulty
/Enchant level>
/Gamemode
/Seed
/Spawnpoint [x y z]
/Time set
/Time add
/Toggledownfall
/Weather [Seconds]
/Xp
/Testfor (THIS IS A COMMAND BLOCK ONLY COMMAND!)
Game Rule
/gamerule
Helpful Commands
CommandBlockOutput- enables/Disables text output of command block commands to the console
Dofiretick- enables/disablesfire-spread
Domobloot- enable/disables mob drops
Domobspawning-enables/disable mobs spawning unless you want them too. (eggs and mob
spawners will still spawn mobs)
Dotiledrops- enables/disables blocks dropping items when broken (includes tnt explosions)
Keepinventory- enables/disables weather or not you keep your inventory on death
Mobgriefing- enables/disables mobs destroying blocks (creepers, withers, endermen etc)
PS: Sorry for the big font, my eye sight is slowly fading, and it might help if yours are too... Sorry, no complaints in the comments box please!
