Introduction

Hello everyone, Skullduggerycain here. Today i'm going to be talking about constructive criticism and hating, and how to know the difference "Okay.... That's nice and all, Skullduggery, but, eh, what is this 'constructive criticism' you speak of?" Well, relax that, and many other questions will all be answered here. Writing this blog, i'm actually building off of the first quality blog i wrote, it's called Haters. But, still, it brings up a new topic, not just about haters, and will talk about a related issue instead. Still, my inspiration comes from mostly seeing comment sections on posts, and i see haters, as usual, and i see people offering constructive criticism, to make the blog/skin/texturepack/mod/etc better. But, most of the time, what troubles me is either: Situation A: The creator replies to the comment, but thinks the person is hating on them, in which case, the comment usually says: Dude, why are you hating on me?!?!?!? I WORKED SO HARD ON THIS! How the heck could you possibly want me to change it?!?!? or situation B: The guy just full-out insults the person because of their opinion on what the person made. Neither of those situations are good, so i want to help fix them. That's why i'm writing this. So, anyway, i hope you guys enjoy!*

Okay, Now, what is this 'Constructive Criticism' you speak of?

Now, if you already know what constructive criticism is, then i suppose you could skip this part of the blog, but i would still recommend that you read it.

Okay, now to the part about identifying constructive criticism, and what constructive criticism is. Constructive criticism is when you offer criticism (feedback) that can be constructive. This, isn't hating. It's the benefit and improve what the person has created. People usually try to give constructive criticism in a kind way, and not say it in a way that implies that it is optional to do what they suggest you do. Pretty much, it's leaving feedback, that if the creator accepts, can improve the quality of their creation. NEVER get this confused in hating. It can honestly hurt people's feelings.

Separating Constructive Criticism from hating.

Okay, honestly, by now it would be hard to get constructive criticism confused with hating..... But i'll give you a diagram showing their differences.

Honestly, i spent like, 5 minutes on that, and about 1 minute on the text. It's not that hard to identify constructive criticism and hating, and know they're two differrent things

Just a short mention about hating

Okay, honestly, I'm not going to talk about hating much in this blog. But, i feel like i should just give some advice for when the comment actually isn't constructive criticism, and is actually a hater's comment. Honestly, no matter how savage their comment was, you should always keep your cool, and be polite. State that honestly, you don't agree with the opinion, Sometimes, if you sort of do agree a little bit with the person, it's actually okay to laugh with them a bit, It's just polite in that situation. Honestly, you have to keep your cool. Otherwise, the person is going to feed off of your anger, and just keep coming until you just chill out. But, in some cases phrases like 'dude, chill out.' Or 'This is what i have created, and i'm proud of it.' are just fine.

Closure.

Okay, well, that's about all I have to say on the subject for now. I really hope you guys enjoyed this. If it didn't benefit your life, then i at least hope that it was a good read. Thanks you for reading. The fact that you take the time and slow down to read something that someone like me wrote, and pay attention to it, is really great. So thanks, everyone. Oh, and one last tip on constructive criticism: When leaving it, ALWAYS be polite. -Skullduggerycain

Okay, REALLY sorry about this...... Somehow the blog posted itself twice. PLEASE don't flag/delete this D: this wasn't an effort to bump the submission.
