Don't you just hate when minecraft crashes? And, it doesn't just always crash, it crashes when you get somewhere good. It completely enrages me when it does. Like one time, I found 6 blocks of diamond in a new world, I was so happy!

Tl;DR, if you have mods, remove incompatible ones. Allocate an appropriate amount of ram to minecraft, 1/4 of your system memory will do. Do this by starting the minecraft launcher, click edit profile, uncheck JVM arguments and replace the long string of text with -Xmx1G -Xmx1G for 1GB, -Xmx2GB -Xms2GB for 2GB etc.
