Ever wondered what a Flying Giant would be like? Or maybe an invincible creeper? Well, this is how you can actually make those things come to life!

Invincible Creeper

/summon Creeper ~ ~2 ~ {ActiveEffects:[{Id:11,Amplifier:25,Duration:314159,Ambient:1}]}
Okay, lemme explain this one:
The Active Effects is the potion effect the creeper has. Id: 11 is resistance amplified by 25 times with a duration of 313159 seconds. Ambient is to tell if the particles can be seen well or not. 1 is they can't be seen 0 is they can.

NEXT!

Flying Giant

/summon Giant ~ ~2 ~ {Riding:{id:"Bat",ActiveEffects:[{Id:14,Amplifier:1,Duration:9001,Ambient:1}]}}

Its basically a Giant riding a bat with. The bat has a potion effect of 14, which is invisibility, with a duration of 9001 seconds. Since the bat is invisible, the Giant can be the only one visible, which creates an illusion that hes flying!!!

Stacked Tower of Slimes

/summon Slime ~ ~3 ~ {Size:7,Riding:{id:Slime,Size:6,Riding:{id:Slime,Size:5,Riding:{id:Slime,Size:4,Riding:{id:Slime,Size:3,Riding:{id:Slime,Size:2,Riding:{id:Slime,Size:1,Riding:{id:Slime,Size:0}}}}}}}} Tower of slimes... that's it.

These are just 3 crazy commands, but there are plenty more you can experiment with! NOTE: You can edit the mob names to make them whatever mob you want! Lets say in the Giant command, we replace the Giant with Spider and Bat with slime. Now its a jumping spider!

I hope you enjoyed! Let me know in the comments what you came up with!!!

The problem with making mobs riding mobs which have invisibility, is that if you kill the visible mob, you still have an invisible mob running around!

This is not a problem with say, bats, but for other things (spiders riding invisible slime) it can get down right problematical.

Dragnoz had the same problem with his "Lazer Bats"  Invisible Guardians and Squid riding bats, He solved it by adding code to look for a kill drop near the special mobs, and kill of the parts that didn't die.

Xbxp's idea of stacked skeletons to make a machine gun nest is a good one, but has similar problems. Give all the skeletons in the stack a 'skeleton head' with a 100% drop rate.  If any head is seen, kill all the skeletons near it.

closer75 JRHE's hmmm I didn't know a upside down ('dinnerbone') slime can't move.  Why not just give the base slime noai?

/kill @e[type=Slime]

Is a command that should work in the latest 1.8 snapshot. Otherwise if you're using 1.7.x or below, I think you'll have to use a sword or potions to kill them.

You can make a skeleton that shoots lots of arrows at a time by making invisible skeletons to ride one visible.
