Hello! This has probably taken the longest out of any other creation I've ever made! This took around six hours to make, but the final product was really cool! Today, I've made a new type of ranged weapon, that can be much more powerful than a bow!
Click here for the first command!
Click here for the second command!
Installation:
This creation takes two commands, so I will give you a tutorial on how to install this.
1. In chat, type /give @p command_block and then press enter.
2. Place you command block down, and right click it to open its menu.
3. Copy the first command and paste it into the command block.
4. Power this command block.
5. Another command block will spawn in front of you after the first command has run.
6. Copy the second command and paste it into the new command block.
7. Power this command block and your done!
Crafting:
This time I did not use floor crafting, and instead I did dropper crafting. You must be using a Crossbow Workbench
to craft these recipes. To make a Crossbow Workbench, place down a dropper, then throw a crafting table and a
bow on top of it. This will create a Crossbow Workbench. Right click it and it will give you a crafting menu, which
can craft all of the following items.
- Wooden Crossbow
- Stone Crossbow
- Iron Crossbow
- Golden Crossbow
- Diamond Crossbow
- Metal Tipped Arrow
Tutorial:
To shoot with a crossbow, you will need ammo. Crossbows can only shoot Metal Tipped Arrows as normal arrows are not strong enough! Make yourself some Metal Tipped Arrows (explained above) and then you will be ready to sue your crossbow! To shoot, make sure you have Metal Tipped Arrows in your inventory, then drop the crossbow when you are holding it to shoot an arrow in one of four directions (NSEW, as there was not enough space to make more rotations). If you miss, you can always go and pick up your Metal Tipped Arrows by going on top of them! Each crossbow has different stats, as listed below:
Wooden Crossbow:
Damage: 5 (half hearts)
Length of travel: 5 blocks
Stone Crossbow:
Damage: 7 (half hearts)
Length of travel: 7 blocks
Iron Crossbow:
Damage: 8 (half hearts)
Length of travel: 8 blocks
Golden Crossbow:
Damage: 9 (half hearts)
Length of travel: 9 blocks
Diamond Crossbow:
Damage: 10 (half hearts)
Length of travel: 10 blocks
If you ever want to remove your Crossbow Workbench, then just break the dropper to get your crafting table and bow back!
