First of all, I've read so many posts that read Cube World is "a total copy of minecraft" "minecraft rip off". CW is NOTHING like MC except the cubes. In fact, CW was inspired not only by MC, but Diablo, World of Warcraft, Legend of Zelda, and so many other RPG games. Notice how all of those games are RPG???? CW is NOT a sandbox game, you can't build ANYTHING, but just because you can't build doesn't mean that CW isn't better. Personally, I like CW better than MC and so does almost everyone who has played the game. For those of you who don't know what CW is, its a 3rd Person, voxel, RPG game that aims to be a good combination of many RPG games. CW Alpha was released this June (2013) and it cost 15 euros ($19.56 american). Check out the website here.
Now lets compare CW vs. MC:
Things Cube World and Minecraft have in common-
Infinite world generation

Online Multiplayer and offline singleplayer

Things Minecraft has that Cube World doesn't-

A less laggy multiplayer and singleplayer

Q:Will Cube World become more popular than Minecraft?
A: Not now in the Alpha stage, but later on it probably will.
Q: What systems support Cube World?
A: For now, just Windows but it will come to Mac and Consoles soon.

Before you say that Mojang will sue Picroma (creators of CW),
1. Notch actually advertised the game.
2. Wollay (creator of CW) used to work for Mojang.
3. Wollay and Notch are friends.
4. Notch offered to set up a shop for CW when the site was being attacked with DoS attacks.

Minecraft losing players
My theory is that Minecraft players will discover this new game and "migrate" over to it. Most youtubers will too, as the Yogscast has already started playing it. For all of you Minecraft lovers who are sucked into the game, believe what you want, but I am just expressing my opinion.
