Now, I'm pretty sure, if you're a fan of Daft Punk you've heard they're coming back after 5 years! Apparently they've been recording their album for those 5 years! Talk about writer's block! Here's what Wikipedia has to say about Daft Punk's return:

Daft Punk began experimenting with material for a fourth studio album in 2008, whilst working on the Tron: Legacy score. As Thomas Bangalter mentioned at the time, "Making music for a movie is very humbling. Weo ve been working on some of our music concurrently." The duo were dissatisfied with the resulting demos of Random Access Memories, which then mostly relied on synthesizers. They eventually struck upon the idea of working with live musicians: "We wanted to do what we used to do with machines and samplers, but with people." Daft Punk avoided the use of sampling on the album with the exception of the final track, "Contact". Use of electronics was limited to drum machines that appear on only two tracks, a large modular synthesizer performed live by the duo, and vintage vocoders.

So yeah, it might not be writer's block because they were pretty busy with Tron Legacy, but they've come back with a big one! Here's a sneak preview of the album with the song, "Get Lucky." It features Pharrell Williams!

Anyway, please get the album "Random Access Memories" releasing May 21, 2013! It'll support Daft Punk into making more songs and albums!
