Hello! For the blog today, I interviewed the fantastic artist, Sparki Wolf!
Here's our interview!
(Me: Red)
(Sparki: Cyan)
You're a fantastic artist, what was your first piece of artwork that you can remember?
Hmmm…first artwork EVER? I’m not really sure…but the first artwork I made when I was actually GOOD at drawing was this. I always envied people who could do soft shading and I actually decided to try it. When I did…I was incredibly happy with the results and have since kept on shading that way. :3
Where do you hope to go with your art? (Example: Career, college, etc)
I hope to someday become a popular artist or writer. I think that I’ll always be a freelance artist (without any “boss”) but I think I’ll still have little jobs. I just recently created a background image for avrona’s server website.
How did you find PMC?
My friend was telling me about it and I decided to check it out. I thought it looked pretty neat. I finally made an account when I discovered that you can make art blogs. :3
What made you decide to write an art blog?
Because I love art! I wanted to share my art and get tips and feedback on it. I’ve gotten lots of good reviews on my art so far. Hehe. :)
When you draw/paint, what is your mindset? (What do you have as a goal for the piece you're working on?)
When I go to create a piece…I usually do have a plan in mind for what I’m planning to make, but it never turns out how I want it to. Take “Sparki’s Anthro Form” for example. I meant for that one to be a wolf (regular wolf) standing on a mountain. But…as you can clearly see…that is NOT what it is. XD
How did you create your OC, Max?
Well…I didn’t really do it on purpose actually. I was just making an anthro wolf when I thought: “Hmm…that doesn’t look like a wolf exactly” so, I left the nose off of him and gave him weird eyes and called him a species from another dimension. XD
Do you have an inspiration for art? If so, who?
I don’t have many PEOPLE who inspire me to do art, but I find that music is VERY inspiring to me. I especially like instrumental electronic types of music.
What's the best part about drawing in your opinion?
I like making interesting pictures that can be interpreted many different ways. I love the creativity that art allows.
What features about your art do you think makes people like/love it? :)
Hehe…I think perhaps that it could be the way that I somehow manage to draw things that are weird, creepy, and adorable all at the same time. If it’s not that, then it’s probably how it has a “magical” feel to it.
Lastly, do you watch any anime? If so, which anime? XD
Anime…anime…anime……….I wish. I love the style of it and I have, on many occasions, tried to replicate the cute style in my art, but sadly…I haven’t found any anime that I really like. It’s quite sad really…
This was really fun to do, I enjoyed it!
I'd love to interview other PMC members too! If you'd like an interview, please PM me! :D
