DayZ as we all should know, was an incredibly successful mod for Arma 2. So popular in fact that they decided to make an entire game out of it: DayZ (Standalone)

An increasingly fun and exhilarating zombie survival/simulator, that gives you a virtual reality of a zombie apocalypse. In this game, you find yourself scavenging for food, guns, supplies, etc. Taking place in Russia, you must find your supplies and survive for as long as you can, with friends or by yourself.

With this game being in Alpha and all, it is extremely buggy, with funny glitches and zombies that can walk through walls. In the condition in which it is currently in, the game some people may find to be horrid, or anti-climactic, but they are wrong. This game has tons of edge-of-you-seat moments, and horrifying ones too.

This game is currently $29.99 on steam, and I really recommend that you go check it out.

I would personally give this game a 7/10 just because it is only in Alpha and is just gonna get better.
