diamond trap

So I've been playing minecraft since 1.3 beta and it's starting to get a little bit dull. The only feature I haven't really explored that much in minecraft is redstone. My friend has been teaching me how it works and i came up with this "diamond mine" . Theirs probably a million ways i could make it better so leave a comment and i can learn :D

its not a pressure plate its a stone block with a redstone torch on it :D
