Eyes are essential to almost any minecraft skin, they practically make the face and help dictate what kind of skin you're making. Today i'm going to show you all of the types of eyes I know of and how to properly make eyes. I won't show you how to make the individual styles because they are rather straight-foreward. I will go from the simplest to most complex eyes.
I'm going to start with the simplest eyes, just two dots, like so:
These kind of eyes are good for cute/kawaii and chibi skins. But if in the right place, they are good for derpy skins.
The next type of eyes are just 1 by 2 pixels, which are also good for cute/kawaii and chibi skins. This is how they should look:
These eyes are also 1 by 2 pixels but the other way around, and are great for skins of any gender. There are 4 ways to make this type of eye. Here is the example:
These are the eyes that you see on most skins, they're good for your'e typical, everyday skin. There are 4 ways to make them:
Now, this style is usually used for girl skins but can be used for guy skins. You can do this 4 diffrent ways too.
Here is where it gets a little harder, but it is still easy to do. These are diffrent anime-esk eyes, from another blog. here they are:
This style of eyes is similar to one of the calm styles, but slightly diffrent.
Now, I'm going to show diffrent derpy eye styles (mouths are essentaial for most of these to work) :
And finally, my tips! I'm just going to recommend ways on how to make your skin nicer/better
~I'd recommend to use a base skin if you want to make your skin faster, but try to avoid doing so, because using a base lessens the uniquness of your skin!
~I also recommend to add ears, especially on the anime-esk eyed skins, I think it makes skins look a tad bit better & more realistic.
~Next, SHADE! This is very important, you dont have to do the best shading, just shade, it makes the skin 1000% better, and also, Keep your shading consistent! If you're shading hair in three different ways it just doesn't work!
~Try to vary your skins! Use different eye styles, genders, and skin- tones!
