CHAPTER 1
I felt entrapped in the tube as it rose, and kept rising. After nearly a minute, I became claustrophobic. The redstone sticky pistons kept rising leading me to my fate.
I examined the arena which was presented to me. This year they had chosen my absolute nightmare-the nether biome! I examined my block busting buddies deciding if they'd kill me, or the terrible beasts in this hell would.
The gong sounded and I sprinted towards the Cornocupia. I was fast, jumping along the way to give me extra pace! I got to the Cornucopia in less than 30 seconds, picking through the weapons,potions,armour and food for what I want. I manage to grab 2 raw chickens, a gold sword and iron helmet before heading towards the nether fortress.
Once I dared myself to turn around, i saw it. The careers were rummaging through the chests wearing full iron sets and laughing. I counted 12 dead, which left 12 to go. If i wanted to live i'd have to find myself some better armour. Maybe the Nether Fort was a good idea...
CHAPTER 2
I stumbled across the netherrack in pursuit of the fort. My head burned from the heat of the lava. Why me? Why did the redstone choose me?
Half a day. Thats how long it took me to get to the nether fort! I worked without haste, climbing the stairs to the treasure chamber. What i hadn't planned was the arrow which hit me almost instantly as i finished climbing the stairs.
'Ah, District 11. You'll be easy pickings' snarled the boy from 5. I stared at the boy, who was wielding a stone sword and chainmail legs. I didn't even wait for him to shoot another arrow, before he could react i jump ran all the way to him and hit him numerous times, with him returning the favour of course.
I was on my last half heart when i killed him. That was a close call. But i was alive and had a spare sword plus 5 mushroom stew! I quickly drank up and continued my way for the chests, and to my suprise i hit the jackpot diamond boots with iron legs!
Night then hit me instantly, and the dead showed up in the sky. Only 2 deaths where shown-which were the boy form 5 (my kill) and... the girl from 2 ! A career out in the first night blimey!
The gamemakers would be looking for blood tommorow, but atleast for now i would be safe.
