Okay I understand that there are Skeleton Archers,and there are Spiders. But skeleton archers riding spiders? I swear this really happened today while I was gathering EXP for Enchanting. The Skeleton was sitting on the spider flinging arrows while the freaking spider was jumping around at me. Screenshot says it all. Only had time for one quick one (cause they were giving me a beatin') All I ask is that someone relpy if something like this has happened to them. Thanks.

I've seen these before. Someone should make a mod where giants can do this, and if the spider lands directly on you, you take the massive damage from being stepped on by the giant.

This is not a glitch it is a type of mob: SpiderJockey. That's what we call them on our server anyways idk if that's the real name. We see them all the time, they are cool and fun to kill. ^^

It's not a glitch. It's something that was put into the game a long time ago. But it is very rare.

It is a rare qlitch, I've seen it many times but I have friends who have never seen one so it's suppost to be rare but sometimes they come and go all the time

It's not a glitch. It's an actual type of mob. 1% chance of spiders spawning with a skeleton rider. 
Name: Spider Jockey
Danger Level: Medium
Attack Type: Long Range and Close Range
Abilities: Increased bow fire rate at close range, ability to climb walls
Weaknesses: Being underneath the spider jockey will cause the skeleton to shoot his spider mount, Spider becomes passive in day, making the spider jockey an easy target
