I'm an avid YouTube Partner making videos about mainly Minecraft but really a bit of everything. I'm not huge but I am a Machinima Partner with on average 20,000 views a month now with 386 subscribers (just to give some statistics) and at my level dislikes aren't great. My videos don't get as many views as some of the bigger YouTubers and so they have less likes, so when I do get dislikes they impact quite severely on the bar below my video which could actually put some people off.

Don't get me wrong, I do not mind dislikes. If anything I encourage them but AS LONG as a comment or message or anything is provided telling me WHY they disliked the video. If you're doing it to take me or any YouTuber down well in the long run you're actually benefitting us. By viewing my video or any other YouTube partner or YouTuber with adverts enabled you are essentially giving us money. I don't like talking about it and I don't flaunt it but seriously, you are basically giving us money even if you dislike the video.

So basically if you're going to hate on someone or dislike a video without reason or purpose then just think again because then you might realise that actually you're supporting that person if anything. However, if you hate/dislike the video BUT with a reason and you publish that reason through commenting or messaging then you might actually have the higher ground or the higher moral ground because you've given them a reason to change or adapt stuff.
