A Life of Steve
It was cold in the obsidian-walled dungeon. Purple light filtered through a trapdoor in the ceiling. Steve huddled closer to the villager in the corner, hoping to conserve warmth under the thin wool blanket. After what seemed like hours, an enderman guard opened the trapdoor. A ladder was let down and the guard croaked out one word: "Steve". Slowly Steve climbed up the ladder. He was dazzled by the brighter light outside his cell. When his eyes adjusted, what he saw was overwhelming. Enderman guards were everywhere, the whole landscape was made of endstone, a white-yellow rock, and giant obsidian pillars could be seen in the distance, topped by crystal-like beacons. Without warning, he was teleported by two guards to a work camp, one of the only places besides the enderdragon's palace that was not pure endstone. Here there were mines and farms, with thousands of villagers and other humans, working, mining and crafting. But every day for the past month, he had smuggled out iron ingots, diamonds, sticks, string, feathers and flint.
Finally he had everything he needed to escape. Carefully he crafted himself full iron armor, a diamond sword, a bow and plenty of arrows. He rallied some of his villager friends who had kept some precious emeralds, and as the enderman opened the trap door for work he launched himself upon the endermen. He easily overpowered and killed them as they were taken by surprise. Some of the older villagers told Steve he would have to destroy the crystals on the obsidian towers. He used the enderpearls from the dead guards to teleport to the crystals and destroy them. Then he enderpearled to the armory where he killed two more endermen. There he enchanted his armor and weapons.
He then headed for the enderdragon. His followers fled as the gigantic enderdragon materialized in the sky. After a huge battle the enderdragon finally fell, a portal opened, and in his haste, Steve forgot about everything: the egg, his followers and the other prisoners. As he landed in the overworld, he was petrified by its beauty. He had never known any of this wonderful, grassy, sunny and animal-populated land. Then his followers materialized next to him. They rejoiced, but only until one of the villagers told him that enderman guards had tortured and killed the other slaves as revenge for Steve's actions.
As night fell, Steve collapsed on a bed the grateful villagers had crafted for him. It would take some time for him to get used to this new world, especially as he was the only human in it.
