Failed Server connection

Day 2 of me being mad with Minecraft...I can't connect to any server no matter what it is. I've restarted my computer, I've restarted Minecraft, my friend even restarted the server. I keep getting the same error message Connection Timed out. I can still play Single Player but not Multiplayer. Oh did I mention my internet also has been a bit weird lately? Says I'm connected but I've been haveing trouble with this site a bit too. Connection? I don't know. Maybe I'll get some help tonight.Possibly found the problem! :D The server is done or Minecraft on my Computer got screwed up!. I tryed 5 servers and everyone said Connection timed out. I'ma try uninstalling and re installing MC and hope it works.

Yippy! Problem solved! Well atleast half of it. I emailed Notch last night telling him the problem. Later did I realize that I can still play those (In my opinion) Fairly stupid and confusing Commercial servers.

He didnt tell me. He has a Mac and I have a Windows so that May be part of the problem. I'm gunna ask him right now. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm having the same problems, how do you port forward and does it have anything to do with the router?
