Fear Of The Dark
Follow me.
Follow me and youo ll see,
What ito s like, to be afraid.
To find it hard to breathe,
Gasping breaths,
And ito s done.
Almost gone.
Now,
Look at me.
Can you feel it?
Ito s dark, dry and dusty.
Smothering and cold,
All those terrible things.
Ito s the dark, you know.
The deafening silence, quickening of footsteps,
Increasing heart rate and hysterical laughter,
Threatening to burst.
Almost there.
Reach out, grasping.
Desperation, dread.
Can you smell it?
Perspiration and a lingering scent of almonds.
Quickly now,
Are you still following?
Before they see,
Dono t stop.
Dono t you understand?
Theyo re following too.
