Flash after flash, the plane jolted, plummeted, trembled, constant vibrations… The feeling of splitting and cracking of aluminum as the bolts pinged loose. The front window, enveloped with illuminated rain drops during the dreadful bolts of lightning. Before he knew it the pilot could see green tentacles slashing at the protective glass in front of him. Unbeknownst to the pilot a towering mass of ancient wood was hurtling towards him. Distracted by a flash of lighting, the pilot felt the thick glass piercing his skin. The plane, shredded into pieces, left the pilot in a spiraling black hole of darkness… Plunging from the metal mesh of the demolished plane hesmashed into the ground, left unconscious and barely alive…
Slowly awoken by the rain tickling his cheek, the pilot drowsily opened his eyes. Confused for a moment, he wondered where he was. Almost catching a glimpse of sanity, he saw the deep tangling wall of vines before him. Although many see the jungle as a beautiful, wonderful place of opportunities; when trapped against his will, without means to survive, the pilot had a very different feeling.
Controlled by his anxiety the pilot ignored the thirst drying his throat, this was until he attempted to squeal for help. The changes in pitch as he attempted to force air out his mouth, only reminded him of his teenage years at home; the memory of his mother sparked a feeling of sadness and regret throughout his body. Unsure on how to manage the situation the pilot knew he had to survive, to get back home.
Grabbing a fallen shard of the planes thin outer shell, he headed into the deep void of roots and wooden bollards; he sliced and slashed the thick vines, gradually gaining distance from the wreckage. Although the pilot had no plan on how to survive, he had a reason to live.
Several miles into the tangled mash of webbed vines and no way to quench his thirst, the pilot had almost lost hope. Coming to a halt he fell to his knees, silence was surrounding him, he could hear the blood flowing through this body. Twisting his body to stretch his exhausted muscles the pilot turned on this back. For a moment he rests; no worries, no fears.
This is until it came...The pilot hears a long enraged growl, he closes his eyes. The rush of anxiety makes him want to cry for help, but instead he lies still. Too fatigued to predict the danger of the situation, the sound of the beast seemed to creep towards him. The pilot could feel the warm humid breath above him.
Shaking with fear the pilot heard the beast take one more gargantuan roar. The best leaped at him,ripping his flesh apart. The pilot bellowed but the beast ripped the lungs from his chest. He was silenced, shaking and twitching his remaining muscles. Foamy blood leaked from his mouth. This was the end, all hope vanished. Never to be seen, never to be found. He laid in silence, along with his plane, his pride, his joy…
