Oh hey there. I guess by now you know that my name is Fred. You're really are nosy, you know that? Keep coming back to hear about my life. Still I did offer to tell you. So where was I? Ah yes, I had just told you about Stephen leaving and me planning to find him. Well then let's continue.

So I packed my clothes and other important items (Yes, including my teddy, I admit it. I was 6 ok?) and climbed out of the window. It was a cool night and a breeze was blowing. I grabbed a jumper out of my pack and pulled it on, trying to hold it as close as possible, so as not to get cold. It didn't do much good, but i was determined. I set off, heading towards the woods. That was the best place to look.

Approaching the woods this late at night I began to feel scared. What if there were monsters? Or bears? They could eat me! Or they could have captured Stephen! I have to help him! I thought. I was letting my imagination run wild and barely forced myself to enter the woods. At every sound, every rustling of a leaf or snapping of a branch I flinched. Still I headed ever deeper into the forest, until I came across a clearing. By then I was terrified.

I wanted to curl up into a ball and hide from the beasts which were surely lurking in the trees, waiting for me to get too close. Stephen was out there somewhere though and I couldn't let the creatures hurt him! I walked the clearing, taking small, shaky steps. Suddenly a pair of red lights appeared in front of me. I could have sworn they were eyes. (Maybe i had been watching too much Scooby Doo. Again, i wish to point out I was only 6). That was too much. I turned around and fled.

Every night for the next year I looked for Stephen. Every time I ended up turning back home. I never gave up though. It did become clear to me. though. that i wouldn't find him by walking. Next time I shall tell you about my first journey on a ship.
