Glass is a needed and much used item in out little city. Unfortunately the nearest desert is about 1,000 meters away as the crow flies. Last time I went, even knowing exactly where it was, it took me 2 game days to get there and two to get back. Well that sucks. However there is an option.



The glory hole is the name of the second furnace used to make glass objects. It's used to reheat the glass as the gaffer blows into it (not at the same time) thus creating a desired shape.

For Asylum Ubis, the glory hole is the semi-automated building that takes cobble stone, turns it to sand, then smelts it in a furnace.

The conversion is 1:1 and take a bit of EU to run the macerator and furnace.



If were going to make sand, might as well make the building out of it. The only problem we have now is that we run out of cobblestone.
