So our warehouse has this constant annoyance. It overfills some chests. Then someone goes and adds void pipe, but forgets they did it. Next we run out of the resource. Also it really sucks to void stuff when we have a recycle place. !
The simple upgrade to this is to add gates to the pipes and bounce the stuff to the recycler. Unfortunately gates require an assembly table. I have one in my basement but it's just for making simple stuff and would take **ages** to make the 50 gates I need (gates take two passes in the assembly table, one as redstone and one as a redstone chip set).
If you look closely at the picture you will see the Raw Foods chest is full and is "bouncing" items back into the "sorter". Because this is the only exit for raw foods, the items continue on to the recycler.
However after building a "Lazerium" the process is slightly faster. It can surely chew though a heap of EU though. For now, it's going to be power on when you need it.
On the plus side it looks pretty cool when running. I am not really sure why, but the electric engines don't transfer all their MJ at once, then tend to build up. That's the main reason there not conductive piped.
