Papa always been tellin me not to explore alone out in the dark, but I juss can't help findin out what them there ol geezer's been doing ever since lass week. Iss started on a coll spring day, at about sunrise, Mama done found some giant mushrooms over past the family forest, so Papa, my brother and I went over to see what all the fuss was about. We found some old man livin in a netherrack hut, an bout 3 giant mushrooms that were growin next to it. "Ya'll juss know its trouble when one finds mushrooms like dat that are bigger than those sequoia trees up near the river!" Papa said later that day at the dinner table "We best keeps our wits about us, he might be plottin somethin very mischievous!" The next day my brother and I done found him trying to cultivate some weird red and white mushrooms out near the outskirts of the forest that was facing our farm. We done took some wood swords and shooed him away, then we stepped on those mushrooms. We told Papa about the encounter, but it just made him real angry. "Imma go over to his little homo hut and I'll use this here TNT and give him a piece 'o' my mind!" he yelled out after we told him the whole truth. We tried to calm him down but that just made him angry at us, but Mama managed to calm him down. That night at dinner, no one talked. Now, the next day, we done found some of our farmland covered in Mycelium. Papa wanted to go take his iron sword and show that old geezer what for, but Mama calmed him down with a whack from here frying pan. We spent most of the day using our shovels and trying to get all that fungi grass out of our land, keeping an eye on those Giant Mushrooms, which I swear got bigger. Now, today we woke up to find our whole field covered in those spores and stuff. Mushrooms everywhere, they even invaded out livestock, our cows where encased with mushrooms. And this time, Papa snapped. He done took the weapons that he managed to grab an juss ran off to that geezers hut. He didn't come back, so now me and my brother went to see what was up. We found the man carrying my Papa's dead body like it was a ragdoll, he then turned to look at use, and I swear that a few of dose Endmen started to come out of nowhere to attack us. We couldn't run away, it was too dark, but I we both managed to grab the diamond hoes my Papa had an use em as those nifty scythes. The Endmen took my brother, but I done murdered the old geezer. I went and ran, I ran as fast as I could. I have no home now, I left all that I had . . .
