Hey guys, AnimeFanFTW here and today I will be reviewing the game, Mari0.


Mari0 is a free game made by a company called stabyourself.net and the game is basically likethe first Mario game but with a portal gun.

The game is very, very, very fun. You get to play all of the 8 stages of the origial Mario stages and even some Portal room stages in this game. The Mario stages take you through all 8 worlds, to try to defeat Bowser. You still stomp Goombas and Koopas and youstill collect coins and mushrooms and fire flowers and stars. But you can also use a portal gun to get you through the level. Then the Portal stages tests your skills with the Portal Gun with some of the hardest puzzles I have ever done and you also grab companion cubes and theres switches and other stuff.

The controls are: A and D to move left and right, Space to jump, move your mouse to aim the portal gun, left mouse click for the blue portal and right mouse button for the orange portal and Shift is to run and shoot a fireball when you have the fire flower and E to pick up and drop the companion cube. The controls do get a bit annoying but after 5 minutes, you get used to it.

This game is amazing. You can play with up to four players at once for frantic gameplay, costimiseable costumes for a unique Mario and you can even creat your own levels. It has a lot of replay value as well.

Their are little problems. On the Mario stages, you sometimes forget to use the portal gun so you just run through the level (but trust me, it's easier to not use it.), the Portal stages are brutal and will probably make you rip your hair out in fustration but the feeling of completing those stages is awesome. These problems are sometimes ignored, however.

Mari0 is a awesome (and free) 2D side-scrolling game with a twist to a old classic. The multiplayer is awesome Youtube material as well! XD
