*This is my first story on PMC, so I am sorry if it does not meet your standards.*
Part 1
“MIAH!!!” Someone was yelling loudly. Very loudly. Miah turned around and saw her three best friends; Kire, Matched, and Vtaki, running to catch up with her. They all looked tired and beaten, but happy. “What’s up? And what happened?” Miah asked. “We tried out this awesome game!” said Matched. “We are not that good at it, but it’s so much fun!” said Kire. “Come on! We want you to try it out!” said Vtaki. “I don’t know guys… I have homework and chores to do.” Miah replied. Miah was unsure. She wanted to play whatever this new game was, but she had to do other things too. “It’s only going to take up a few hours! It’s a puzzle game!” Vtaki said. “Well… ok.” Miah replies.
Miah couldn’t resist a puzzle game. She followed her friends to a dark area that she has never quite seen before. The doorway to the game was a big cobble gate covered in vines and moss. Beyond the gate were over grown bushes and grey skies. There was podzol slowly spreading outside of the gate. Miah felt a little scared. It didn’t look like a server which was well taken care of. “Um… before we go… what is this server, and when did this get here?” Miah asked quietly. “It’s not a server, it’s an adventure map! Learn what the gates look like!” Matched says. “Oh.” Miah says in surprise.
Miah always had a hard time telling the difference between servers and adventure map gateways. They just looked so similar. Since it wasn’t a server, she wasn’t as scared to try out the map. “Come on, let’s go! We still have to beat level 5!” says Kire. Kire enters the gate and disappears in the bushes. Matched follows, close behind. Vtaki starts to go but then stops abruptly. He turns around. “You coming?” he asks Miah. “Huh? Oh. Yup… go on ahead. I got to go and do something first.” She replies. Vtaki shrugs and says ok. He turns back around and disappears in the bushes with Matched and Kire. When Vtaki was finally out of sight, Miah just stood there looking at the gate feeling confused. Miah looks around to realize that it’s raining. She had a bad feeling about playing this game, but entered the map and into the unknown.

Miah weaved in and out of the overgrown bushes. As she went along, the overgrown bushes turned into thick hedges, towering over her head. Miah followed the path that the hedges lead her to. Taking lefts and rights when the path told her to. Then she ran into a problem. The path split two ways. One to her left, and one to her right. Miah looked back and forth between the two, but did not know which route to take. She has never been on this map before, and did not know where to go.
She stood there debating which way to go when she spotted something out of the corner of her eye in the hedge. Miah walked up to the item and picked it up. It was an unfinished book titled ‘notes’. She opened it up to a page that looked like it was recently written in, and started to read.
It has been days since I have last seen civilianization and I am running low on food.
I almost lost my one friend who has entered this horror with me.
I will soon need to make another trip to the lake, if I can find it that is.

The entry ended there. Miah looked around, a slow creeping feeling crawled up her spine. She shivered. Miah went into her inventory and found that she had lost everything that she previously had, but was given a book and quill, three mushroom soup, four oak wood, and five pieces of cobblestone. With what she had, she set off towards the left branch of the hedges (for left was her lucky side) and had set a goal for herself. To find her friends and get out of this freaky place.
