The first step to making a good hardy base is to make it far away from any highly player inhabited areas like Spawn or any warps. The second step after you journey far away, is to make it underground so no TNT cannons or Creepers can blow it up. This is only if you are a noob, if you have a lot of stuff on that server you could make it out of bedrock or obsidian but a base underground is the most best spot for a base. It might not look pretty but it'll keep your stuff from getting blown up or stolen. Or building a good base in the air is a good option too but if you aren't in /fly or /gamemode 1, it's kind of hard to do that. The third step is to protect your base and even if it's underground, hackers can still get there. If you aren't a noob, then make the ceiling, walls and floor with bedrock or obsidian. Also to protect your base from X-rayers, surround the outside of your base with lava. Inside your base, put the usual chests, furnaces, crafting table, enchantment table, brewing stands, ender chests and other stuff. If the server allows people to open chests in Faction Territory, be sure to put cobblestone or any other kind of block above your chests when you Log off or when your not using your chests. Fourth step is to further protect your base from raiding which is to ally people to your faction. If you have more ally or friend factions, that will keep those factions from raiding you or overclaiming. The fifth step is to invite some trustworthy people to your faction and please be sure that you truly trust them. That you have known them for a very long time and know without a doubt that they will not raid you. The sixth step to not bring ANY people to your faction that you do not trust. Tell your faction members to not accept any /tp requests when their in the base or anywhere close to it. The seventh step is to get supplies like wood, stone, ingots, diamonds, money (if it has Economy Plugins), armor and other good stuff and also you can buy supplies from the shops if the server has it. The seventh step is to make your faction stand strong, this will happen if you raid tons of other factions (but make sure that you don't make enemies that will get back at you later), PVP people, threaten people and wear good strong armor. The eighth step is to keep your faction strong, don't let it disband or be raided so easily, let it be alive and ready to attack any factions in the way of yours, preserve it and make it's members never want to join any other factions but yours.
