Reflection: I realize PMC is no stranger to post about self-esteem. But I really needed to get this of my chest. This post is meant to give you ways to think better about you and your MC projects.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm someone who constantly questions my very own ability. If faced with a very simple task, I'm guilty of playing out every possible negative outcome in my head. Any possible way that I could mess up. And if I am to complete something, I may never think of it as right.
For example, for the sake of keeping this somewhat relevant to Minecraft, I could spend around seven hours working on a house but in the end I won't ever think of it as good. If a friend is to see it, I may grow embarrassed by it, and come off shy about it. I was afraid that it just isn't good enough, and that it never will be if I'm working on it.
However, I come to understand that a project can never be good in your eyes if you think that way. Having other ways of looking at your work can help you grow to accept it more for what it genuinely is to you.
Think about the hard work you put into it and how that has lead to an outcome. An outcome you can proudly say you worked on and created.
Any time ya learn, ya gain -Bob Ross . Now, take a closer look. Find out the pro and cons and what you do and don't like about it and learn from it. If you can fix some of what you don't like, or better what you do like, that can help enhance your overall feeling towards your project. Take what you learn from making the project, and use it for your next ones.
You can do anything you want, and ito s always going to look nice. o Cause you did it, and youo re wonderful , and you have to believe that.- Steve Ross. Just whatever you do, always have respect for yourself, and don't have low self-esteem. Remember to take pride in every project, and stand by it. It's okay to have regrets but never over-think them.
