Hell's Circus pt. 4

This is the story of Cora. Cora, as you know her, is the Jester’s twisted and insane apprentice. Forced to serve him for all her days as a servant of both him and the circus. But, we all have a story whether you like it or not. So, I thought I would give you Cora’s story. Cora grew up in a big city a long while back. So, it wasn’t the type of “big city” you would think of today. It was a big city but in it was the style and community of a small town. One day, when Cora was 19 years old, she was searching for job opportunities. But, it was already 9:00 pm and she was getting really tired. She was at a book club which was her way of proving to everyone that she could still keep some of her community in her new adult life. She had just moved into her new apartment and was ready for life. Too bad it ended so soon… One day, when she was at her book club, a new guy was there. His name was Elliot Reed. He was the only man in the book club and he was 21 years old. Now, all the ladies in the book club except for Cora, were old and married. Cora really liked him after getting to know him for a while. He had brown hair, and blue eyes. He wore a pinstripe suit in the color of red and white and wore a formal white shirt under it. After 6 months, he and Cora were dating. But you really don’t care about that. After a month of dating, Cora realized that she didn't know what he did for work. When she asked Elliot, he looked scared. As if he feared who he worked for. “I work for a very influential man.” he said to her. Then she said, “I’m still looking for a job. Is he hiring?” He looked at her and started walking a bit closer. “I’ll ask him. I work as his apprentice right now but if you take my job, I’ll get a promotion and we can afford a house together someday if you want.” “Well,” Cora started to say. “We pretty much already live together in my apartment but a change of scenery would be nice. So, after a bit of time of talking and convincing, Cora worked as the Jester’s apprentice. But over time, Elliot got more stressed, worried, and they both even started living at the circus. This made Cora stressed, sad, and soon depressed. One day, she decided to try and go back to the apartment and move out so she could live at work. But she was physically unable to leave the circus grounds. Then, she fainted. She woke up on a narrow dust road in the desert that she practically lived in at this point. She followed the dust road and came to the end which was ended by the world just seeming to cut off right there. (Like the world border in some minecraft servers.) And… she saw… herself… at the end of the narrow road. She snapped. She went insane. She realized everything. But I can't tell you quite yet. The story still isn’t over. She smiled that twisted, insane, terrifying smile that she always smiled and shook hands with herself. The Circus master had no sane person to be with afterword and therefore fully sold himself away to the devil himself. The Jester.
