How do i make my compass look diffrent??? need help

how do i make a textur for a compasa and a cloack.





please someone help me with this i have paintet the compass in items but in game it stil the same??? please

there is another folder within The .Jar folder which has the compass and clock. Not sure though. It's really easy to screw up so i left them out when I made my Texture Pack. Hope this helps...
