Help with server?

My pal and me are trying to set up a tekkit server, and we can't seem to get it running. This is what he says is the problem,

"It's that when I get the server, it doesn't do anything when I run it"

If any of you could give us an answer to this issue we would greatly appreciated, and I hope to get some answers.

*Bukkit* not tekkit
You should probably read the instructions on bukkit.org. You need to create a batch file to run it if you're running Windows 7.

No tekkit, it's a server for the technic mod pack, and also it's a mac.

Oh, my bad. I hadn't ever heard of a tekkit. And I don't have a Mac, either. Sorry buddy, but I can't help you.

Try updating the server's website either it is no-ip or enjin. That worked for me....
