How do I make a sevrer and how much does it cost???

Guys i would like to make a server but I don't know how much it cost! I would like it to be like 10 bucks or something like that if i have to pay for any of this stuff. I never get to be anything HIGH in minecraft thats why i am trying to make a server. Oh and if its under 10 bucks and the first one to help me and tell me gets to be admin

It really depends on you. Do you want to host it yourself? Or you want it 24/7? If you want to host it yourself, then just download the minecraft server program and run it. If you want to get a server host, then it really depends on the host. Some hosts will cost $3-10 for their basic plan and others might cost more. It depends on the plan, which hosting, and what kind of server. The better upgrades you want for a server then the more it will cost. Good luck.

Server is a free thing to make but you need to get it from here http://www.minecraft.net/download and then just run it and save to your desktop (you might need hamachi) for a bukkit server do the same but on the bukkit forums!
