at the beginning punch a tree, of course. then make a wood axe chop down many trees when done kill some shep for wool then make a house with a bed next make a pickaxe and start mining when tyou get ALL stone tools you can do either two things more mining http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/miningeh/ or building no link to this bucase to short just build what you want to build and then find stuff from monsters or mine
