Hey guys, welcome to another blog!
Hey guys,
Today i'm going to be showing you how to build a medieval house, dbrack style! Now these days anything with a bit of wood and logs in it is labeled a medieval house but about 90% of them are just rubbishy wooden boxes! A real medieval house should have lots of detail, various block types and on the most part a pointy roof !! so without further ado here is my tutorial on making a medieval house! :)
Step 2
Next lay out your beams for the walls on the ground floor! ive made the cross beams go sideways for a nice effect!
The beams are 5 blocks high and run the length of the stone!

Step 4
next we move on to the beams for the next floor. This next floor will expand out 1 giving you more space, this means your chimney will bend as show. The beam holding the roof up is 5 tall. (if its not obvious to you look atnext step! :)

Step 6
Next up is the roof. A lot of people choose a straight diagonal for roofs but ,as your can see by the beams, i prefer to make it more of a steep incline, which is more true to medieval buildings. On this design i have only ever used wooden stairs and blocks for roofing however for the sake of this blog i will try out some more block types. Remember to add in some more upside down steps on the ends to make it look slightly thicker!
Wooden planks!

Yellow wool (thatch)!

Stone bricks- tiles
