As many of you may or may not know, 1.8 allows new skins with more layers but this is quite difficult to do. This tutorial will show you how to do exactly that in the easiest way possilbe. Please keep in mind that this only works for WINDOWS computers only.
Step #1 Download Sheep2 here.
Step #2: Open the ZIP file with 7-Zip or WinRAR.
Step #3: Open the file "SkinConvertingSheep."
Step #4: Press Add and find your skin. Then select open. (As an example, I am using Notch's skin)
Step #5: Click Start Converting then select where you want the file output to be. The skin file should be where you put it. Now, if you want to add layers and/or edit the left or right arms and/or legs, keep following the steps.
Step #6: Open the file in a picture editing program. I use Paint.NET but you can use whatever else works.
Step #7: Put the 1.8 skin template located here into a layer behind the skin.
Step #8: Edit as desired. I put a new layer with sleeves for the skin. Once done, delete the template layer then save as a PNG file.
Then you are done! Here is my finished product:
Because I cannot upload remixed skins here, you can get my Notch 1.8 skin here.
If you learned something from this please leave a favorite, diamond, comment, and subscribe to me! I do skins and other things! Thank You!
