Hello all, I am going to explain the process of how to get your minecraft 1.6.4 back to 1.6.2. This is a fairly simple process, but I'm unfortunately seeing a ton of planet minecraft forums posts asking for info on how to.

Step One
Open up your minecraft launcher. Remember that this must be on the new launcher you use to get 1.6.

Step Two
On your profile in the bottom left hand corner click 'Edit Profile'. It will open a mini window called 'Profile Editor'.

Step Three
About halfway through on the list, you should see a 'Use version:' tab. Click the dropdown and select 1.6.2.

Step Four
Press the 'Save Profile' button. Next time you launch minecraft (via the 'Play' button) it will install it.
