So.. You accidentally hit "update," instead of "not now," and can't play on your favourite server?
If you have Windows, then have no fear! With this simple, easy-to-follow guide, I'll teach you how to downgrade your Minecraft client, to ANY version of Minecraft that you've played, on your computer!
This, along with my "How to Start a Server" guide, was written whilst helping out a few friends. I've not seen any guides as detailed as mine, and decided to upload them, here, so that others might benefit from them, and so I can refer people to them, when I am asked how to downgrade or start a server. Feel free to share this with anyone in need, but please do not "re-blog," as that creates a lot of spam.
||This does not work on Windows 8, because Windows 8 is slightly more retarded than Windows 7.||
o Click on the Start menu icon
o Click on the search bar, and type %appdata%
o You'll see a file, named "Roaming" - Click on it
o Find the file named ".minecraft," and right-click - Do not open it
o Look through the list, until you find the option "Restore previous versions"
o Select the version you want, then hit "restore"
o Hit "restore," again
If you've followed these directions correctly, you should now have the previous version, of your choice! (Of course, you might have to try a few times, to get the correct version, if you're going further back than the version you just updated from.) If you need any more help, let me know!

There aren't many detailed blogs, out there, about downgrading, and the 1.5 update is out. (No idea if it affects servers) So - bumping for those who don't yet know how to downgrade.
