Hello Everyone, PoshTick here.

I had recently got into pixel art and was wondering how to make a template. So I had searched How to easily make a template into planetminecraft and i had gotten no results. I was so shocked by this that I had decided to make my own.

This guide is just about exactly what I do when trying to make a template.

Materials Needed:

-Paint.net

- A Photo that you want to become a template

Or

- A good imagination and skill at pixel art

Step One

Open Paint.net

Step Two

Go to File

Click Open

Choose your file

Step Three

Go to Image

Then Resize

or

Press ctrl+R

Step Four

Have Maintain aspect ratio checked

(highly recommended)

Step Five

Change the size of the image to your liking

zoom in if needed and use the scale of

1 pixel=1block

So 50 pixels in width and 40 in height is 50 by 40 blocks

Step six

build the image and profit

Step 1: Get SpriteCraft
Step 2: Resize your image appropriately
Step 3: Open up your image with SpriteCraft and export to a schematic file
Step 4: Open up the schematic file with MCEdit and place that into your world
Step 5: Play
Step 6: Don't thank me

But that takes away the fun of actually building, plus this is for a template that can be shared and used w/o mcedit

But you are right that it take the fun out of building it, though. The only problem is 3-D pixel art. Most blocks' sides are the same, so it would be hard to model some things. xD

You can put the schematic file into your Minecraft world and share that with other people.

Did you do that falcon by hand?! Or did you follow my steps?

MCEdit is sometime laggy. I can only get 4 FPS sometimes. :/

Of course I did it your way, But unless it is that massive like my phoenix, ill try to stick to actually build art for the fun and chaos of it. =)
