How to Get Past Haters
Things NOT to do
If you have any tips, leave them in the comments. I am making this blog to help people who are experiencing the bad part of this otherwise awesome and helpful community.
- 1. Ignore them. Ito s pretty obvious. They are probably just jealous, so they are looking for a way to put you down because they think it will make them better.
- 2. Write a blog about them like I am. Then they will feel embarrassed and will find someone else. But dono t single them out, then you are being the meanie.
- 3. Take their advice. Although this may sound stupid at first, think about it. Usually they are saying something like, o You did this for views and diamonds!o Or, o This shading is horrible!o So if you are doing what they say then they wono t know what else to complain about.
- 4. Dono t let them boss you! Number 3 has some flaws, if you let it. If they repeatedly tell you what to do, then just ignore them. If not this will eventually make you not rely on yourself, and lose creativity.
- 5. Defend yourself! You probably made the submission for a reason, so tell them why. This will show you wereno t just uploading it for popularity.
Things NOT to do
- 1. Make fun of their work. This will only make them angrier, and may result in PMC staff getting involved.
- 2. Do not swear. Swearing isno t good for the community, and will make people angrier as well.
- 3. Beat yourself up! Do not listen to them! You are yourself, and no one can change that. If you do, you will lose self-esteem, and you courage will disappear.
- 4. Dono t get staff involved. This may just make it worse.
- 5. Bring other people into the argument. Then more than one person is getting hurt feelings.
- 6. Dono t become a hater!
- 7. Dono t bring PMC levels into it. PMC levels are not accurate at all. Once Disco was a level 1, then he uploaded his first submission, and BAM. Highest leveled PMCer ever.
- 8. Go on their submissions and tell others not to diamond, or not to favorite their submissions. This will just bring more haters to you.
