Hello again!

It's been a while since i've posted on here. Sorry about that. Anyways, here's my tutorial on how to get players on your server!

I'm going to be splitting up the rest of this blog into different types of servers with different strategies. I'll see you again at the bottom! Also, I'm going to be saying "bump" a lot. 'Bumping' is when you post a reply to your own post so it gets back to the top of the recently posted. Most people tend to stay on the first page or so of the forums, so bump when there's a lot of people on at once. But, try your best to not bump a ton because soon your post will just seem like spam.

Small Whitelisted Server:
So you're planning on just having a small server with just a few players including your friends and such? Just post anywhere on the forums! Please stay out of the blog area. Your private server belongs in the recruiting section of the forums. If you feel like your post isn't getting enough attention, try changing the title to more incorporate what kind of server it is. For example, I run my own little private server and it's called The UnderDog Server. My title went from; "The UnderDog Server Needs Players!" to "*Whitelist* -=The UnderDog Server!=- *SMP*". Which improved it's views immensley. Try to stay as professional as possible. Keep your spelling and grammar on your mind as you're writing it. Of course, bump your post every once in a while.

Big Public Server:
Your big public server is lacking in players? Again, you're going to post in the forums. Before you do, please consider making a website. Also, you're probably going to need some nice graphics to go along with your server. Consider making some yourself or having a professional do it. Make sure to mention all of the gamemodes on your server. Forgetting one or two gamemodes might just lose you 10-20 players. You're going to need to bump whatever post you have pretty often, as there are plenty of other servers trying to get noticed. Be professional while writing. A FAQ at the bottom of your post is highly reccomended. Ask some questions you would find people asking about your server, and answer them.

Sorry, this was more of a shorter post. I could have dragged it out more and made it longer, but I thought I'd just stick to this. Thanks for reading! If you have some suggestions, any thank-yous if this helped, or some constructive criticism, feel free to post them down in the comments!

If you're a server owner and you are considering making a server, go check out my other post! It's kind of like a warning guide that can be found here. If you're a minecraft player and you'd like to make a youtube channel I have a post on how to get started that can be found here

Thanks again for reading!

P.S. I will admit, i'm not super proud of this post, but I've almost ran out of ideas for posts. I have another one in mind, that I might post, so be expecting one within the next week at least!
CreditThanks for reading!
