in this blog i will be showing you all how to get players on your minecraft server in 10 easy steps. if you would like to see how i did with this advertising join my servers at 184.154.108.116:25565 and 192.210.232.140:25565.
Step 1: First things first you do not want to advertise on other servers all this does is drive players away and get those pesky advertisers to do the same to your server losing you players.
Step 2: you are going to want to post your ip address on some websites such as planet minecraft mc server lists etc.. tht you a sure way to get players but after the first few days players start to die down.
Step 3: another good trick is to make an advertisor rank on your server and if players get you enough players they rank up making your players happy and making you happy with more server traffic.
Step 4: Another good trick is to put adds on youtube such as your channel but if your not popular then maybe not.
Step 5: this step is sorta like step 4 but instead of making a video you go on poular channel and put ur ip saying all the posative things about your server.
Step 6: never lie to your player or they will leave your server which usually leads to more players leaving aswell.
Step 7: you could always to your freinds to advertise or even player to premote your player count. cause remember the more player on the more the player enjoy the server.
Step 8: try to make a good impression of your new players such as a good spawn or nice players and try to premote your plugins at spawn so new players know whats in store for them later on in there server experience.
Step 9: when you post on sites or youtube remember to be real and not to act fake or say you need staff when you really dont always tell your members the truth for more traffic.
Step 10: now finally the last step to getting players is to have weekly or even daily contests to give out prizes but do not have drop partys with a ton of hard to get items everyday or your players will get bored with all the diamonds and leave the server causing traffic to slow down.
