Beginners Only!
Hey Guys,
I got asked a lot on how you shade your skin... Well, luckily I will tell you in this tutorial and I hope this helps you. :)
Skin What Was Used In The Video: Click Me
Basics
1# First you will need to download MCSkinEdit HERE and run it on your desktop.
2# Now, you will have a layout in front of you. Now, I suggest not to create any other skins than human shaped because you will need to get used to painting the skins before you create monsters and etc.
3# As you will see, the Program has everything you need to know. Like as Paint, you don't have a direction on what is which part of the body. The top left is your hat/hood/glasses, whatever you want his head wear to be. Bottom left will be his Legs and Feet. Top Left will be his Face and Head. Bottom right will be his Arms and Hands / Shoulders.

4# Now you know the Basics, now lets go onto the tools.
Tools
1# Pencil - The pencil is going to be the one you use the most. It is the Large Icon of a pencil at the top left.
2# Eraser - If you do something wrong, you use this bad boy to rub it off. It is the Rubber Icon.
3# Colour Picker - This picks your colour, when you left click a Pixel. Very handy when shading.
4# Shading - This is the most important tool of all, it brings light and shadows to your skin and makes it stand out. This is the Black Puddle thingy at the top right. :)
Shading
When you press the Icon at the top, you will have the Shading Tool activated. To use this tool, Left Click to make it Brighter and Right Click to make it Darker. You can make an effect on your skin by going down vertical, diagonal, horizontal. By doing a sequence you left click/right click once on the first line and then do it twice on the next and continue the pattern. And it should look like a Wave of colours. But choose a good place to start and then do it, maybe experimenting on the colours on what looks best and that might boost your experience with SkinEdit. Shading is a hard technique to master, I spend about 2 and half hours shading one skin and about 30 minutes adding the small details such as the Eyes, Mouth, Ears and etc. A lot of people spend about 10 minutes making a skin and its just one colour for the whole skin. Try to avoid, from sticking to one colour, as I said "Experiment with the colours".
Thank You For Spending Your Time Reading Tutorial. I Hoped This Skin Tutorial Helped You Out Wish You Good Luck. Maybe, Post Yours Skins In The Comments And I Will Look At It. I LOVE Feedback! Diamond If You Liked It And Subscribe If You Want More Like This! Love You All!
