Hello everyone viewing this blog post as of now.
I am Ted116. I am a Minecrafter, an Artist, and a video maker. I love to make things that look cool, not just in the area of art, but in all areas. I like to make movies, I like to make art, to take photos, anything in that general category I will most likely enjoy doing. So it would make sense that I like to make Minecraft videos! And I have noticed something after a while of uploading my friend and I's "Let's Play" and "Skyblock" series.
People don't really try.
And by that I don't mean that everyone out there who does Minecraft videos are bad at it, I just mean the general majority, other than the famous Minecrafters.
So wouldn't you think that why there are only a select few that are popular?
A lot of people for some reason wonder why those select group of Minecrafters get so many views and its really simple and its only comes down to a simple list of things. In this blog I will cover, video quality

#1. The video quality!
Things like watermarks, low quality video, and bad editing make a video not interesting, and/or look unprofessional, If you have game recording programs such as Bandicam or Fraps, buy it. People don't like seeing those watermarks at the top ( or wherever ) of the screen, even if its small, it just looks bad. Low quality video can be improved by using a better computer, and sorry people who try to make lets play series on a laptop. Very rarely will you see a Youtube minecrafter such as CaptainSparklez or Etho recording on less than 2GB of ram. Also when looking for good quality recording programs, I would highly suggest Fraps. One warning though, Fraps takes up memory. And I mean GB's and GB's of memory, actually, I'm pretty sure a GB per minute is how large those files are. I have to use a external harddrive to record, because then I will have no space on my computer to do anything until I edit the files, finish it, and delete the raw ones.
This part deserves a new paragraph, because it is one of the most crucial in getting and audience, and I still need to work on it myself. Video editing, is by far. THE MOST important thing you will do, if you want to make good, enjoyable Minecraft videos, of any kind. First of all, the intro should be like what you learned about writing in 6th grade, a hook. It has to be interesting, because us humans, even as adults, will not pay attention to something for long if we don't think its worth our time. SkyDoesMinecraft has a perfect example of a hooking intro, even before the VFX intro comes up he puts in something that is funny, or crazy, and it hooks you right into the video.

The rest of video should be organized and you should know what the point of the video is if it is a mod review, a redstone tutorial, or anything inventive. Minecraft lets plays suggest you already know what they are doing because they are planning as they play. The ending should have one of those ending clips that show you links to your channel, or other videos, this helps promote other videos, and is a double pointer :D. As long as you remember some of the simple things above, it should help increase the audience, and how good your videos are.

Feel free to give me feedback and comment... or whatever you do.
