Have you ever seen a server with a colored motd? I have, and I have decided to share with you how. First, open up your server.properties file. Go down to where it says
server.properties
motd=A Minecraft Server

Change "A Minecraft Server" to what you want your MOTD to be. Now choose what you want to be colored. Put one of these color codes in front of it:

Color Codes
§k Magic

I hope this helps! Remember to diamond, favorite and subscribe for more!

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, LINK TO A SCREENSHOT OF THE SERVER.PROPERTIES FILE AND YOUR SERVER VERSION!!!!!!!

you need a backslash (not allowing me to input, its above enter) not a forward slash (/) ( i believe i mixed the names of those up... regardless, this is what you put.)

Press the option key and 6 at the same time. If you don't have an option key, I think the alt key might work as well.

So I did use /u00A7 and nothing came up. I also did it without the slash mark and it didnt work either. Like everybody else, when I do use the weird symbol, I do get the colored text but the stupid question mark is there.
