Hello and welcome to my tutorial.
Today you will learn how to make a Minecraft Player Statue.
Requirements:
A Skin Viewer Or A Memory Of A Skin:
I use Minecraft Skin Viewer

A good Eye, so you can see the individual colours on the skin. (I recommend a skin that isn't very detailed. If it is, remove some detail, unless you are willing to take the time to add detail)
Tutorial:
First off, here is a diagram I made for the dimensions of the body, without the arms or head. Now you really want to get this part perfect, as it is the base of the statue.
Now, let me tell you something about skins. They are different from Minecraft blocks. Minecraft blocks have the same texture from different angles. When a avatar has a different colour on each side. So, you could find one colour on one side is coloured black, when the same one on the other side is coloured white. You can choose to simply just ignore it and continue building, or replace the block. Something like this you don't really need to be worried about.
So start with the 1st part of the feet, making sure that you follow the dimensions on the diagram. It should look something like this:
Keep looking back at your skin and build from each angle. You will eventually build up and get this:
Notice the purse on this overlaps the front texture. That is what I stated earlier, its better to ignore it. Now, for the avatar's skin, be creative with the skin, I am using Smooth Sandstone, although you can use many others depending on your skin.
Now It's Time for the Arms.
Now, the arms are 12 blocks long, so that is the top half of the body. The arms are also 4 blocks wide on each side, so it is basically a 12 block long rectangular prism, that has a 4x4 square on each end. It should look like this:
So now, It's time for the most detailed part: The Head. If your character wears a hat, ignore it for now, just build the head. Here are the dimensions:
So the head is 8 blocks wide and long. The head should have 2 blocks on the back out from the body, same for the back.
Now build the head, being sure to add the detail from the eyes if necessary. Be sure to note that it should be wider than the body as shown above in the picture.
In the end, you should get that player statue. Here are some tips:

- Depending on the complexity of the hat, it may look completely different from the skin.
- If there is too much detail, remove excess detail
- Be creative, use different blocks for different parts of the body
- Take your time, rushing ruins the statue
- Be happy of your result in the end, good job!
