Hey there I am bringing you my tutorial on how to make a texture pack! Here we go, just follow the instructions :D :

1. download this: http://www.mediafire.com/?297t92djd6ky5i6 (you can check for virus scan if you want) basically what you download is kinda like a template. Ever since 1.5 making a texture pack is different. That file gives you all the textures that you can edit.

2. open the winrar file

3. type %appdata% in your bottom left search bar, then click .minecraft and then texturepacks.

4. Once you've done that make a new folder in texture packs and call it the name of your texture pack. EX. Tree craft

5. Drag all the files (achievement, textures, pack.png, etc.) from the winrar file into your texture pack folder

6. Now your done with the winrar file (you can close it)

7. This is a very important step and you must follow it. Pick a good editing program, to make your textures. Use a program like gimp, paint.net or photoshop. Do not use any default programs like Paint, because Paint adds Transparency to pictures and it looks awful. I do suggest Paint.net seeing how its free and its a good editing program

8. Once you've picked your program click "open" and then in the top type %appdata% again, and then find your teture pack folder

9. Once you find you texture pack folder (EX. Tree Craft) click what ever blocks you plan to texturize (texturize a word? It is now :D)

10. Now your done! You've got your folder ready and your program ready!
