If you know Herobrine, and no mods work for you, then here is a tutorial on how to summon Herobrine.
Unfortunately, you will need Minecraft Beta 1.2
First of all gather these resources:
Gold Block = G you need 36 gold ingots to do that
Netherrack = N
Flint and Steel to make fire.
When you have those things then go to a place big enough to make a grid of this:
G
GNG and also set the netherrack on fire.
G
After you have done that, it shold go dark all of a sudden and Herobrine should appear (did with me) on the netherrack, also going complete night time.
What Herobine does to you:
He *LITERALLY* stares at you SO hard you burn to death.

Try it!
First place three gold blocks in a row.
Then, go to the middle block and block up three times, and put one pink wool at the top.
Light the wool on fire, and step back and look at it.
Herobrine WILL appear.
